If you are someone who knows me well you will know that I have a hard time relaxing. While in this transitional period in my life I am trying to re-teach myself how to enjoy my free time.
Here are some of the things I have been doing when I need a break and have a urge to clean my apartment haha. *Philly Edition
BARCADE
This was a fun little date night for Josh and I. We just wanted to get out of the apartment for a little bit so we were searching for a cheap date idea! We found this bar that is also an arcade! We grabbed drinks and just walked around playing games all night! The games are all old school and also many cool pinball machines. The drinks were decently priced and we had to buy tokens for the games. I put $5 into the token machine to get a handful of them, which lasted us about halfway through all the games. Overall, this was a fun experience and I recommend this for anyone who wants to do something other than just going to the bar.

THE LAWN AT LOVEPARK
I'm always a sucker for any resturant or bar with a cool/unique atmopshere. The Lawn at LovePark was one of those places. It is a pop-up resturant in the middle of famous Love Park. It was so easy to access and the vibes were great! When you enter you pick a table and there is a bar code to scan for the menu and also order at the table. I had a watermelon margarita which was very good and they had many other unique cocktails. The food is sort of picnic styled, they had curly fries, corn on the cob, hotdogs, and more! They had sandpits for childrens and cornhole for the adults. I would 100% LOVE ;) to go back.

WATCHING GOOD MOVIES
As I'm sure many couples do this exact same thing, Josh and I love watching movies before bed! We look forward to the nights that we can watch a full movie without having to worry about one of us having to go to bed. Here are some of the movies we have watched recently:
The Invisible Man: This is a wonderful movie if you are looking for a eerie thriller that will keep you on edge the entire movie. It is a modern adaptation of H.G. Wells' 1897 classic staring Elizabeth Moss (who I am obsessed with right because of The Handmaids Tale)
Get Rich or Die Trying: This is one of Josh's all time favorite movies! It tells the life of rapper 50 cent's life. This is normally not a movie I would pick out for myself but I actually loved it and thought it was very well done.
Antebellum: Starring Janelle Monáe is a psychological horror/thriller by the same people that create Us and Get Out. This movie came out in 2020 and I highly recommend checking it out.
Of course a movie night isn't complete without super comfy socks! I got these socks from Chrissy's Socks: Pink Socks (Made in USA)
Whether you’re partying or relaxing, they make life a little bit prettier!

CHERRY STREET PIER
Who doesn't love to walk along the water during sunset?? Well Josh and I found the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful evening enjoying the sights. The Cherry Street Pier is a public space on the central Delaware Rive Waterfront. The Pier is a space that has great food, events, and showcases art. We took a walk down here one afternoon and found ourselves sititng at the end of the pier right next to the water at The Garden resturant. It was so nice to see the view of the bridge and the boats on the water. We will for sure be making a trip back to this location.
